ECDC’s annual conference is a platform to address the plight of refugees along with strategies for bringing people together at the local, state, federal, and international levels, as well as drawing on the perspectives of refugees themselves. This year, the theme focuses on how the experiences of resettlement agencies, refugee newcomers, partners, and communities can form a shared voice to further enhance newcomer support systems and strengthen the connections among these diverse groups, that each play a vital role in refugee resettlement and integration.
We are inviting you to share your thoughts and experiences using the hashtag #ECDCRaiseAVoice to come together as a voice for refugees and immigrants in advance of the national conference. To join, choose a question below that you would like to respond to, then print the ECDCRaiseAVoice Poster (<–click) and write your answer on it. Take a photo of you with your answer and post it on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram. You may write an answer to more than one question and post multiple photos. Anyone can participate!
Be sure to use the hashtag #ECDCRaiseAVoice and either #PartnerVoice, #NewcomerVoice or #CommunityVoice to indicate the question you are answering!
Please make sure the person being photographed has consented to the online public use of their words and image.
